History

2008

A group of people who were interested in environmental issues, including experts, held a meeting at Rikkyo University. We established DESD as a voluntary association run by an executive committee.
The Executive Committee members are:
Osamu Abe (Chair)
Shohei Fukui (Secretariat-General)
Ryokichi Hirono (Board member)
Tadashi Kawashima (Board member)
Yoshihiro Natori (Board member)

2009

We held the first DESD World Festival Forum 2009 at United Nations University.

We also organized a workshop to plan operations for DESD World Festival Forum 2010.
